20 лютого у Lietuvos Respublikos Seimas відбулася третя Міжнародна конференція «Литва для України. Україна для Литви», що підтвердила сталість стратегічного партнерства між Україною та Литвою та спільне розуміння необхідності посилення колективної безпеки через обмін досвідом і практичну співпрацю.
Конференцію організовано членами Європейського Парламенту від Литви – Saudargas Paulius, Петрасом Ауштрявічюсом, Расою Юкнявічєнє та Дайнюсом Жалімасом у співпраці з організаціями «Memorabilis» та «EU4Kherson» за підтримки Сеймасу Литовської Республіки та Союзу стрільців Литви.
Захід, присвячений четвертим роковинам повномасштабної війни Росії проти України, став не лише проявом солідарності, а й платформою для напрацювання конкретних рішень на підтримку нашої держави у боротьбі проти російської агресії, а також для обговорення практичного застосування українського досвіду у Литві. Досвід України, здобутий у надзвичайно складних умовах, сьогодні є важливим орієнтиром для всієї Європи.
Захід відкрив Спікер Сеймасу Литви Юозас Олєкас, наголосивши на незмінній підтримці України з боку Литви та литовського парламенту — до перемоги і після неї.
Під час відкриття до учасників звернулася Посол України в Литві Olga Nikitchenko, яка зазначила: «Чотири роки війни дозволяють зробити чіткі висновки. Україна зруйнувала міф про так звану “другу армію світу”. Попри російську пропаганду, Росія не перемагає у цій війні. Насправді, попри свої значні ресурси, Москва не досягла жодної стратегічної мети та продовжує зазнавати величезних втрат».
Окрім того, Посол наголосила, що сильна Україна означає сильнішу Європу і міцнішу глобальну безпеку: «Мир — це не те, чого ми просто чекаємо, це те, що ми забезпечуємо через силу, послідовність і відповідальність. Час не є нейтральним — він або рятує життя, або коштує їх. Саме тому важливий час, важливі рішення і важливі дії, адже кожне зволікання посилює агресора».
Також пані Ольга Нікітченко висловила вдячність Литві за всебічну підтримку та постійну допомогу, зазначивши: «Допомога Литви залишається всебічною — від оборонної підтримки до відбудови, від відновлення енергетичної інфраструктури до макрофінансової допомоги, від санкційної політики до зусиль, спрямованих на міжнародну ізоляцію Росії та притягнення її до відповідальності. Дякуємо Литві за це».
До участі в заході долучилася делегація з Херсона — представники різних сфер, які поділилися реальним досвідом життя регіону під час російської агресії, окреслили щоденні виклики та процес відновлення, а також представили практичні рішення, сформовані в умовах війни.

On 20 February, the 3rd International Conference “Lithuania for Ukraine. Ukraine for Lithuania” took place at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, reaffirming the strength of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Lithuania and a shared understanding of the need to strengthen collective security through the exchange of experience and practical cooperation.
The conference was organized by Members of the European Parliament from Lithuania – Paulius Saudargas, Petras Auštrevičius, Rasa Juknevičienė, and Dainius Žalimas – in cooperation with the organizations “Memorabilis” and “EU4Kherson”, with the support of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union.
The event, dedicated to commemorating the fourth year since Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, became not only a demonstration of solidarity, but also a platform for developing concrete solutions to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, as well as for discussing the practical application of Ukraine’s experience in Lithuania. The experience gained by Ukraine under extremely difficult conditions is today an important reference point for all of Europe.
The conference was opened by the Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, Juozas Olekas, who emphasized the unwavering support of Lithuania and its Parliament for Ukraine — until victory and beyond.
During the opening, Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Olha Nikitchenko addressed the participants, noting: “Four years of war allow us to draw clear conclusions. Ukraine has destroyed the myth of the so-called ‘second army of the world.’ Despite Russian propaganda, Russia is not winning this war. In reality, despite its vast resources, Moscow has failed to achieve a single strategic objective and continues to suffer enormous losses.”
The Ambassador also stressed that a strong Ukraine means a stronger Europe and stronger global security: “Peace is not something we wait for — it is something we secure through strength, consistency, and responsibility. Time is not neutral — it either saves lives or costs them. That is why time matters, decisions matter, action matters, because every hesitation strengthens the aggressor.”
She also expressed gratitude to Lithuania for its comprehensive and consistent support, stating: “Lithuania’s assistance remains comprehensive — from defense support to reconstruction, from restoring energy infrastructure to macro-financial assistance, from sanctions policy to efforts aimed at isolating Russia internationally and ensuring accountability. Thank you, Lithuania, for this.”
A delegation from Kherson also took part in the event — representatives from various sectors who shared their real-life experience of living under Russian aggression, outlined the daily challenges and recovery efforts, and presented practical solutions developed under wartime conditions.
